Our BOLT Internship Program is about giving you real projects, real responsibility, and a genuine opportunity to shape the future of energy. Many of our current leaders began as BOLT Interns—showing that this program opens doors far beyond a single summer. You can find former BOLT Interns throughout Kinder Morgan at every level, from vice-presidents, directors and managers to subject matter experts. We are looking for high-potential students who want to learn, contribute, and grow into high-performing professionals after graduation.
Ryan Rosales, a former BOLT intern, has earned multiple promotions within the organization over several years since joining Kinder Morgan as a full-time employee. Currently, Rosales is a Commercial Manager in the Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) group.
“Kinder Morgan recognizes and respects employees who are dedicated to their work. I feel empowered by the trust and encouragement of my team. The positive environment is what excites me to come to work each day."
Ryan Rosales | Commercial Manager
Romina joined Kinder Morgan as a BOLT Intern after her Junior year at the University of Houston studying Computer Science. She was able to implement what she learned through her coursework in school to help her succeed in her internship.
“In my internship with the IT department supporting the CO2 business unit, I played a role in data management and report creation. I worked with databases often to create and run complex reports that resulted in contributions to our company's cost savings. I’ve managed to successfully apply the knowledge from my database systems class to help me in this role and have been pleased to have had the opportunity to collaborate with a group of professionals,”

“My internship experience as an intern was invaluable in helping me transition into a full-time role. It allowed me to build technical skills, gain hands-on exposure to real projects, and develop confidence in collaborating with other teams. For future interns, I recommend taking initiative, asking questions, and networking as much as possible—those connections and insights will make a big difference in your career growth.”
Alejandra Tamayo | Security Associate Analyst
“After more than a decade in retail management, I decided to go back to college and take a leap into a new career. That decision led me to Kinder Morgan through the BOLT Internship Program, where I gained hands-on experience across multiple procurement teams and applied both my leadership background and classroom learning. That exposure opened the door to a full-time Buyer role within Procurement and eventually a transition into Strategic Sourcing. My advice to future interns is simple: ask questions, speak up about your goals, and take ownership of every opportunity, because Kinder Morgan succeeds through people committed to excellence, accountability, integrity, and safety.”
Gustavo Ortega | Strategic Sourcing Specialist II
